This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing widgets.
You can drag and drop to rearrange.
You can edit widgets to customize them.
The bottom has widgets you can add!
Some widgets you can only access when you get a premium membership.
Some widgets have options that are only available when you get a premium membership.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
Aloha, my full name is Troy Francois O'Brien Stanley Carney and I was born in New Zealand but have resided on the island of Kauai, Hawaii for the past 23 years. I'm a self-trained artist and have painted since I could hold a brush. I grew up in a surfing family that started with my stepfather that shaped boards for my brother and I. He also was the owner of many different surfboard companies in New Zealand. My mother is a very talented artist and was classically trained with traditional oils at Auckland University. I was sucked into the world of hard labor at 17. From fishing boats to carpentry and many years as a custom air-brusher for surfboards and windsurfing companies on Kauai, Maui, Australia and New Zealand. I managed to escape that toxic spray and found my way into the fine arts world. For the last 6 years I’ve been working in the mediums of oils, 12k white gold to 24k yellow gold on a wooden bas-relief. I'm constantly experimenting with relief surfaces that reflect my highlights and change through the day in mood and color. My style has been called romantic realism and features many exotic elements such as oceanscapes and indigenous peoples from the pacific islands to the mountains of Northern Vietnam where I travel often to give proceeds of my work to the minority hill tribes. More to come....
You work is amazing! Love the textures and all the detail! I wood carve too although I don't have any on my deviant account. But keep up the good work!
This is just a quick note to let you know / remind you that we are having our 1st Contest. The theme is "The Colours of Renewal" and you have until the 21st June to submit to Digital, Traditional and Photography (it doesn't have to be a new work).
